Parent PHP Survey

Berens River Student Services is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that all secondary institutions are making our students health & safety a priority. We are collecting data from parents on the issue of public health in schools. Please participate in this survey and indicate if you are allowing your child/children to attend high school during this pandemic.

Talk to your child about some of the new health measures to help them prepare for the first day of school:

  • Sanitize hands before entering school and classrooms

  • Keep a distance between others and follow marks in hallways

  • Do not share food/drinks or personal items

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow

  • Tell staff if feeling sick at school

  • Lunch and recess time may change to allow for more physical distancing

  • Students may be asked to stay in their own cohort to decrease contact

    with others

  • Students who take the bus will have to sit in the same seat every day.

  • All students must wear non-medical masks on school buses

Please be aware if you should choose to home school your child, that there is no funding set aside from the Provincial & Federal Government to assist with costs associated with home-based education. Student Services will not provide any additional funding assistance to parents who choose home schooling; please be sure that there is a home school procedure offered with your child’s high school curriculum.
